Delicious food in delightful setting
Lucky for us we were staying very close to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The menu opens with an honest and heart-warning personal letter from the owner chef to his customers expressing his dream to become a chef, own a restaurant and serve delicious food to happy customers. And he did exactly that. Absolutely spot on yum. You could taste the care and attention in every mouthful. Not to be missed!

Lovely location, delicious food
My partner and I ate here tonight for dinner. Only a short stroll from our villa we found paddy point restaurant. Lovely setting and mainly outdoor seating, it was dark but can only imagine the view of rice fields was beautiful. We ordered the 2 vegetarian curries and pumpkin soup all to be vegan. Our meals were clearly fresh and homemade, both curries had incredible flavour and packed full of veggies and tofu. We both thoroughly enjoyed. We hope to return before we leave Ubud.

Beautiful location but expected better
It was late in the evening my wife wasn't feeling well and I just put the girls to sleep. I was a bit hungry so I decided to venture out a little past the usual haunts that I've been going to. I saw this place on Google Maps and I figured I would follow the blue dots to my destination. It took a little while for me to walk there and I had to ask directions twice, but I made it. I was very surprised at the location quiet, tucked out of the way, and adjacent to rice fields. I was quite impressed with the beauty of the Locale, as well as the setting of this local warung. At night it seems like it can be quite a romantic place. Couples can dine under pagodas, which is really nice if there's a full moon and a Starlit sky. I opted for a cocktail that was made with fermented coconut water, triple sec and lime juice. The only downside was that it was finished in two to three sips so I had another one, and another one. I do not remember what it was called, but if you go 2 Paddy Point order it, it is delicious. I started my meal with a soup of tom kha gai. It was loaded with diced tofu and overly salty. I know tom kha gai is a salty soup but this was ridiculously salty. I couldn't finish it so I smiled and said pack it up, I will take it home to my wife. Next up was the crispy duck. It was not crispy in the style of a confit. It was crispy in the style of old, dried-up and scrawny. I did not realize that ducks could be anorexic. Not only was this duck anorexic but it was also bulimic. Instead of duck breast it was just duck nipple. This was one tough bird. I wish I didn't have to say this, because of so many good reviews about the duck, but what I had that night was downright embarrassing. I guess I should not expect a lot, because this place is after all a warung. With that said, I would go back to Paddy point. As horrible as my duck was, the place still has a lot of potential. Maybe it was just an off night. I was the last Diner there, but that shouldn't matter at all. If and when I do go back I will just order something different and it teaches me a lesson you don't order duck at a warung
