Bali must see!!
Opera was recommend to me by a friend and I was so glad I listened. The whole night was amazing from the welcome drink to seeing to decor for the first time, it truly is a wonderland. The food was so creative and each dish was a different experience. We had the pulled pork buns (can’t remember the menus name) the duck and the black noodles. Everything was so tasty and fresh, I don’t normally like duck but I was so happy my friend forced me to order it....so worth it . I tired to take pictures so show people but it really doesn’t do it justice. 10/10 on the food, beautiful setting and the staff were so sweet and helpful. Anything we asked for they could do and their English was really good. Can’t wait to go back again

Just for the Experience
Looking at Opia from the road, we cannot imagine what lies beyond the closed doors. The experience begins from the moment we walked into the lobby. The vista opened up to views that stretched across the valley that runs below the ledge on which the restaurant sits. The young receptionist and her colleague handed us complementary cocktails - the white one is alcoholic, the pink one is a mocktail - and encouraged us to stroll through the landscaped terraces that compose the restaurant. While the main air conditioned restaurant is enclosed in floor to roof glass windows, we preferred sitting on the first terrace which had sweeping views. The seating there was at formal dining tables, with straight backed chairs, which make for serious eating. But if you prefer to lounge, you may sit at a lower terrace where there are sofas and low coffee tables. The food was exquisite. The portions were on the smaller side, but the presentation could pass muster in any fancy restaurant in London or New York. The service was surprisingly quick, and extremely friendly. But they left us to enjoy the meal once it was served, which is important, as many waiters love to fawn over their patrons. They were happy to get us additional spoons when we said we’d like to share the dessert. The lady who seemed to run the establishment, and perhaps owns it, came up to our table to ask if everything was fine, and again, when we were on our way out, to ask if we enjoyed ourselves. That personal touch is endearing. The only drawback is the large lettering of the word “LOVE” set in white concrete at the end of a terrace. It distracted from the otherwise sophisticated experience. But since the place also serves as a wedding venue, it was easy to understand its presence. In any case many of the patrons seemed to like getting photographed in striking poses against the lettering. I think this will be a place to eat at least one meal every time we visit Jimbaran.
