Michelin star level of food and service
This in probably one of the best restaurants in the area of Ubud. The setting is superb and the food quality and presentation is excellent. They serve food at the level of European star restaurants at a reasonable price

We came here towards the end of our holiday after eating at the cheaper more street food ‘Spice’ owned by Chris Sallins. We loved it so much we decided to book Mosaiic. It was wonderful- the heirloom tomato dish is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten and very memorable. The ambience and sitting outside is nice - makes it feel very relaxing and private as tables were spaced apart well. The best touch was the plate of local ingredients that gets left at the table, so every course they explain what it is and which ingredients they used. The only down side was on the last main (we went full 8 courses on the Indonesian menu) was that the beef was so rich it didn’t need a whole side bowl of mash - we’d eaten a lot at that point so it felt overkill. That said, the pre dessert was amazing and a good way to take the heaviness away! It’s pricier than other traditional Ubud restaurants (cost us £150 for 2 people with cocktails) but back in London a meal like that would’ve cost £350 and I loved it! If only the Michelin guide was in Indonesia....

Its trying hard to be a "vue de monde"
The layout and interior is pretty nice... not overwhelming but lacks soul and warmth... Service is impeccable! Loved all the waiters we had - they were very professional and world standard. Food is displayed beautifully like art however taste was underwhelming... it was almost like the chef was trying too hard and trying to force flavours to combine that just shouldn't. Dont regret that I went however wouldn't go back...
