We have twice enjoyed the cuisine at this restraunt. Quality presentation and taste. I asked for a non menu saute prawn dish, no problem. Sate chicken vg.

Over priced. Bait and switch pricing. Staff offer specials and discounts at front to get you and then don’t bring those specials but full priced menu dishes which is a huge rip off. Either that or wait staff are completely ignorant. Avoid! 65k for kids spaghetti. 59k for Nasi goreng vs special 25k

We had been recommended to visit the Monk House Restaurant by freinds and as we walked in we were impressed with the decor and the freindly staff. We had entries of mushroom brushetta and salt and pepper squid, the brushettas were tasty but only two small peices of bread and the mushrooms bearly covered these. The salt and pepper squid was a resonable serve but the dressing was very oily. Our mains came after a considerable wait, three of us had the Mie Goring and Greg had Nasi Campor. According to Greg the Nasi Campor was delightful and he was very satisfied with his choice. Unfortunatly the Mie Gorings whilst good sized servings were very oily also, the dish came with two side dishes of sauce and these we didnt eat as they to were mostly oil. All up the food was disappointing Our total cost including two large Bintangs was 534,765 Rp or about $13,50 Aust per person. The biggest problem with the night was the poor quality of the entertainment, the guitar playing was good and the entertainer should stick with that and give up trying to sing.
