A Real Shocker!
Rarely will I write a bad review on a restaurant as I’d rather just leave them alone but I write this to warn other tourists. My wife & I went here tonight on the premise of its looks...fail! Let me make these points succinct so we can all move on: We ordered a starter to share...it was inedible; Silly me...I ordered a glass of Australian red wine...undrinkable; The vocalist guitarist needs to learn what ‘dining music’ is all about & lower the volume. We literally were unable to chat. I moved onto coconut water...warm & tasteless; One of the waitresses had no English speaking skills. Not really her fault but perhaps not best suited for front of house just yet. Needless to say it was a very cheap night. The restaurant has a lot of promise (by the looks of it) but there needs to be significant changes made. I’m glad some of the reviews are positive, maybe we got a bad night...but needless to say we won’t be venturing there again as there are so many good alternatives in Sanur.

The live music started to give me a headache, it could have been a bit quieter, and the person singing needs another job. The guitarist was OK though. The food was the worst on our trip so far. Mozzarella balls were cold inside, and stuffed prawns presentation looked pretty terrible. The strip loin steak was ordered M/R and was so overcooked that it was like old leather. The kebab was pretty good, but how can the beef bbq'd on the kebab be more tender than a m/r steak? Staff were friendly and attentive, but not enough to save our meal. I would advise you to avoid this place, at least until they get a chef who can cook.

Great place & very fair pricing!
I can not fault this place at all!! Seeing the people moaning about the price is ridiculous. They forget that 65k in Bali is around £5 in UK, and similar or less in other countries! The Balinese have to deal with the influx of arrogant tourists who clearly cannot accept the way of life here, as well as make a fair living competing with every other restaurant. I’ve seen restaurants far more expensive too only a few steps down!! The food here was delicious and well presented. I recommend the Sate and Nasi Goereng for sure! And the sautéed mushrooms were so fresh and tasty! I got a coconut for drink and it was cheaper than a lot of stalls I’ve seen. The staff are friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome. There was also a young man singing as live music as well as playing the guitar and he was lovely and entertaining! I wish him well for the future and hope he goes far! The decor is lovely, with a little water feature, open plan seating and pretty lights. I would definitely come here again and recommend this place in a heartbeat, provided you’re not a closed-minded tourist or a backpacker who wants everything for nothing. These guys rock and so do their food!!
