This is a place I never would have found had I not being staying in close proximity. The warung itself was a casual five minute stroll from the villa I was staying at. A most eclectic interior, even with an old sewing machine table from which you dine. None of the furniture really matches and the whole interior is ablaze with colourful artworks that adorn the walls. Not sure if these are for sale or not. There is an annex in the garden which appears to be an artists studio/atelier of sorts, which just adds to the Bohemian, free spirited feel of the place. Service is low key, understated and friendly. The food takes a while (always a good sign of something being made fresh from scratch) but when it does arrive one rejoices in the flavours. I had a very humble Nasi Goreng and they really nailed it. This is an unassuming dish that you can order everywhere and anywhere on Bali (or in the archipelago for that matter) and they're never, ever the same. A wonderfully easy, tasty dish that is open to interpretation. This one was fantastic, the ant's pants, the bees knees - it even had deep fried spinach ! Don't knock it til you try it, surprisingly tasty. There is an upstairs dining area of sorts, that has views of Gunung Agung in the distance, of which you can make out it's imposing contour on a clear day. All in all a most fortuitous discovery. I shall endeavour to return before I depart Ubud in a few days time.

Really nice food, really nice staff and really nice place. The art on the walls is great and there is an excellent view level. I would Definitely go again.
