This is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Ubud. The menu hasn’t got a lot of choice and the specials don’t have veggie options (we’ve been there twice) but the curry is amazing! It’s great for people who love their spice, it also comes with a yummy spicy salad. I would recommend going early or booking a table as it’s quite small and gets really busy. The staff are lovely and really friendly and it’s super cheap.

Amazing local food
Probably the best place we ate during our 2 wks in Bali. We like to eat local so we went to many warungs, in Ubud, on the beach, in the mountain villages. Melting wok was really special as the food is cooked to perfection, with some special touch on ingredients & spices which blend very well, while it still stays local not fusion (I like to eat fusion in Europe, but in Asia I do prefer local food). I had salad with chicken and cucumber, delicious with some mix of local spices +mint. My husband had noodles, also very good. Desert and cocktails are also worth, their pinacolada was wow. RESERVATION IS A MUST if you want to enjoy your dinner/ lunch, one day before is enough. They have only 8 tables, staff is very nice and tries to accommodate also people coming without reservation, but usually very little room left.

Cute little place that is off the main road on a sleepy little Jalang that is obviously very touristy. The food was good but my mind wasn't blown. I had fried noodles which were as I had expected because really, which Asian warung would mess that up? Service was swift and the pretty waitresses repeat their specials, take and repeat your orders like tape recordings with great accuracy and efficiency. Would definitely return. Prices are very fair too. They can obviously go lower in more local and rural warungs but they were not obscene.
