Martabak manis is probably the #1 street food finest in this country. There’s just 1 thing that makes me hesitant: the vendors (and consumers of course) like to make it big, by pouring a huge amount of batter into the skillet. The result is of course a very thick martabak that you will be filled only after eating 1 piece of it. But that is not the case in Martabak Nikmat Andir, the amount of the batter is just perfectly enough, the martabak looks more like layers of pancakes. It’s just perfect! It comes hot with butter melting from the inside. Nikmat Andir proves that the old school thin base remains the best. I had mine with 2 fillings: cheese + sweet corn and chocolate sprinkles + crushed peanuts. I can’t decide which tastes better, they’re equally good! The search is over. It is the pantheon of all martabak.

The best I've ever tasted
We ordered the famous pandan-sweet corn-cheese martabak & thin chocolate-peanut-cheese martabak. My husband & my husband loved the pandan martabak. I preferred the other one, it was very crispy (like French crepes). The filling (chocolate-peanut-cheese) was evenly spread & well balanced, not too sweet. The best crispy martabak I've tasted so far.

Unique martabak. The pandan sweet corn cheese martabak is a must try. The crust is thinner than other martabak, the butter and evaporated milk is in the best proportion that result in the best martabak taste. Perfect.
