An unexpected oasis!! an absolute must, and like finding a golden nugget in a pile of...
we passed this numerous times, and always thought it looked good, classy in spite of the "Eco" look... and as they do vegan etc, we finally gave it a go... although it seemed a little pricey for the region (approximately double usual local prices)... Amazing.. the Chef (an downer) deserves not only a lot more custom, but to increase prices (but that won't work as most are guided / decide mostly based on price).. we were 4 people, 4 different meals, all amazing, and the cakes / desserts were also stunning... Excellent service, nice people, incredibly nice feel to the place from the inside... and very good quality ingredients. Also has a lovely glass enclosed and air conditioned studio under the stairs, great for a meeting, or a crowd of girls wanting a giggle without others overhearing, or, a secluded romantic dinner... and I would recommend it for a romantic dinner... ...

Heerlijk biologisch eten

New place and better than ever - if that were possible ;-)
This is my second review of Ibu Malaika’s restaurant as she has moved and slightly changed the name of the place. Been there a few times now and it will be many, many more. Not only has she made her new place ‘Malaika’s Secret Moksha’ an outstanding venue in an area of Sanur which used to have no special reputation as a connoisseur’s haven (Jl. Danau Poso) but she has successfully established another culinary gem there. Being an omnivore (with an inclination towards carnivore) I am not naturally attracted to organic/vegetarian/vegan/raw/living food restaurants – but Malaika has kind of converted me ! Her food is nothing but amazing, tasty, delicious, creative, beautifully presented … I am lost for words ! Her imagination seems to have no limits, her menu has grown so much that each time I find it hard to decide what to try next and she is still suggesting me new menu items to try (she fondly calls me her guinea pig when it comes to beta-testing new creations). Last time, after some delicious paneer curry, I felt like having dessert … Malaika suggested a carrot-lime cake. Organic, raw carrots with just a bit of palm sugar for the topping only. Enak sekali ! Enough words – just give it a try next time you are in Sanur. Coming from the little roundabout in the heart of Sanur – the one with the Ganesha statue at the Tamblingan-Poso-Cemara junction - you find ‘Malaika’s Secret Moksha’ on the left side just after passing Warung Blanjong. And please do not believe rumors that her old place on Mertasari beach is ‘still the same’, it has changed owners and has nothing to do with Ibu Malaika anymore. Keep going strong, Ibu Malaika !
