They not even know how to cook spaghetti
This so called 5 star restaurant was a big dissapointment. The start.looked great. We got a friendlly welcome and a nice complementary breadbasket and still water. But once the maincourses came it turned out to be a big big disapointment, gado gado overcooked tasteless , nasi goreng average, curry tasteless and spaghetti bolognese with very dry beef and no tomatoes in it. And all that for 5 star price!Terrible experience. And a bery impolite chef who asked me how I cook spaghetti instead of apologize. Sack that guy and get a,real.chef. Maybe you xan rescue this lovely place and call it a restaurant

Sitting in Leon Beach Bistro is a fantastic experience - day and night. The food is fantastic and the service very friendly.

We were staying at the Mata Hari Resort and this is their beach restaurant. We had dinner there twice during our 4-night stay and enjoyed both occasions. Situated right on the beach, there is nothing nicer than hearing the sound of the waves lapping on the shore. On the first occasion the restaurant was very quiet but on the second, which was a Saturday night, there was a buffet and a group of singers so every table was taken. It is clearly important to make a reservation if there is any kind of special event. We actually didn't want to have the buffet as we have particular dietary requirements and the staff were perfectly happy for us to choose from the a la carte menu. However, the buffet looked very substantial and the other diners seemed to be enjoying themselves. My spring rolls starter was very substantial - really enough for two - and we very much liked the ginger dressing on the tomato and feta salad. We had fish on both evenings - tuna and marlin - and both were very good. It's certainly not the cheapest option in town - hotel restaurants generally aren't - but the prices weren't unreasonable.
