Food is great but ....
Every time I visit Ubud, Le Moulin is my first choice for breakfast. Beautifully prepared breakfast fare, whatever your menu choice. There is ,however, some housekeeping matters that need attention. Chipped glass tabletops need replacing as do the worn chair cushions. A makeover with paint, some new art prints and this restaurant would go from 'good' to 'wow'

Disappointing return visit
Having had the most amazing generous goat’s cheese & ratatouille crepe last year, I had been looking forward to coming back to Le Moulin. This time however, I was told that changing mozzarella to goat’s cheese would cost an extra IDR20,000 which I didn’t mind to pay. Unfortunately the crepe was underwhelming: Even though the ratatouille was still nice, there was hardly any goat’s cheese in the crepe. Having paid extra for it and with a cost of IDR96,000, I was definitely expecting more. I couldn’t help feeling a bit cheated and won’t be back again.

A little France in Seminyak now!
Just opened Le Moulin, used to be in only Ubud but now, hidden away in the backblocks of Seminyak on Umulas near Kerobokan Jalan is this small but inviting french crepeisserie! Informal lounges and tables with outdoor area, French music and excellent service, prices and food quality. After much Asian inpired food on our trip, this was a welcome difference, European flavours in a Balinese setting. The crepes are large, flavoursome and filling with every savoury or sweet variety you could hunger for! We tried duck breast with caramelised onion, and beef with mustard suace and muhrooms. Asparagus and cheese crepe to accompany. Yum! And the simplest yet freshest green salad on the side. A hidden gem in the backblocks of Seminyak. You won't be disappointed. And fully licenced too! Bon apetit!
