Bonne chance!

Finally something different
It was difficult to find the place where the restaurant is situated. Obviously TripAdvisor is not able to indicate the right place. The restaurant is in Amed, not Amlapura. But that's another story. The ambiance of the Bistrot may not be as cozy as you would imagine in a bistrot in France, but at least you sit in an airy room and can relax on the comfortable benches of the tables. The selection of dishes is manageable, which was already positive for us. We chose a homemade Paté de campagne a l'armagnac and for the main course Boeuf Bourguignon and Civet de Porcelet. Both cooked in red wine and served with plenty of sauce. Excellent! Finally there was the citrus tart, also home-made, which rounded off the positive eating experience. You couldn't eat better and more authentic in a bistro in France! A small drawback is the comparatively uninspired beverage menu. There's unfortunately no wine from France. All in all, however, the Bistrot is an extremely welcome change in the restaurant landscape of the Amed region!

We ate dinner elsewhere but wanted to stop by for dessert and coffee. This place did not disappoint. We ate the lemon pie (it’s a large tart actually) and is delicious. You should definitely not miss out on this perfection. We plan on stopping by every night for coffee as well. The cappuccino and espresso are fantastically made. The owner is friendly and a diver as well!
