Different in many ways ....
Not all places can be put on the same scale! Le bistro cannot be compared with most of the other establishments in Jakarta. We went there on a Wednesday night at 8 pm, 3 couples. The place was completely empty, we had to knock on the door to be welcomed in. The restaurant was all for us. The staff is definitely professional and experienced and knows very well how to move around the table without being annoying yet always being present. The food and the menu have probably not changed since the place opened in 1976 but the preparation was good, the taste was also good and the price right. A dinner there makes you forget you are in Jakarta and catapults you 1000s of km and decades away. After dinner, we went up to the lively pub (Jaya) for a drink. Definitely recommended for someone that want to experience an iconic resto of Jakarta or looking for a something different from the more modern and trendy spots of the city.

French bistro that is so romantic
It's one of the most underrated places in Jakarta. The owner is friendly, the food is some decently authentic French *for a lack of better words*. This place is perfect if you hate crowded places, especially on weekend nights. This is also the reason why I like going to this place— while everywhere else would be jam packed, there'd just barely be any patron seated in this restaurant. Love the decor, definitely coming back.

Im celebrating my sister birthday here and it was a disaster. I found cocroach everywhere, terrible service. Their so called PR didnt even say sorry for the incident and being so rude by talking back to me. The food are not eatable. We order steak and it taste like frozen food. If i can give a score its -5 very unrecomended
