Atmosphere and Indonesian food with an edge
Edgy Indonesian dishes. That's what Lais is really about. Sure you can get the all time favourites - and you'll love them - but it's the specialties that you will appreciate. Enjoy the Nasi Campur Legian - or the Mie Goreng Seafood. Other dishes such as the Ayam Rica Rica or the Rijsttafel are about spices, herbs and cominations than familiarity alone. The Indonesian desert mix is another example of daring to be different. Okay - it's a bit more rupiah than around the corner - but you see and hear the waves, the light and tables are just nice - and the staff will make sure you'll enjoy yourself. Oh yeah - and they were fast!

Seafood platter missing lobster but with added bali belly + 1 hour wait
First dinner in Bali. Ordered the seafood platter for two that was meant to come with lobster tail, red snapper, prawns, mussel, calamari and some local fish. Took over an hour to arrive (on a Monday evening) and there was no lobster. Both of us got sick the very next day. I wouldn't go back ever.

all the special has gone
I was So upset after our recent visit , this restaurant has always been our special place, the last meal to mark the end of our holiday ,admittedly we haven't been to Bali for 2 years but we were shocked how Lais has lost it's style .We were so disappointed .The service was slow ,took nearly 30 mins just to get a drink .There was always a special fuss made when your food was brought out ,but not anymore and now the food is bland .such a shame .we wont be back
