Last opt to dine-in
La pergiola was not our first choice to dine. It just came into mind because we’re failed to eat at our destined place. Oh yeaah, it was just ridiculous to remember how far we went on foot to reach out the place. La Pergiola offers a quite impressive ambience of Italian resto. We picked Lasagna and Pizza, completed with some juices for dinner. First thing first, it was too dry for the Lasagna and Idk if they really used mozzarela cheese on top because I couldnt taste any of it; the pizza was quite ok, but the juice oh come oooon, they should put more strawberries to make it a real strawberry juice. The idea of having dinner for twice here would not be my option.

No longer at its best
We came here to celebrate a friend's departure for the Antipodes. From memory, this place served a delectable Pizza al Prosciutto and other dishes containing pork products. No longer! The Italian owner has appeared to have withdrawn from the business and a new broom has sweeped through the menu and 'Indonianized' what was a solid attempt at Italian cooking in the center of Java. The delightful setting, friendly but relatively inefficient service: starters arriving before the mains and one diner waiting 20 minutes after the other diners received their food even though there were hardly any other patrons, the tasty and well prepared salad dishes, managed to save this restaurant a 3* rating. Fruit juices were tasty too. Pizza with four different cheeses only had mozzarella and blue cheese. The mussels were decent but not overly exciting. The desserts were poor: The Sacher Torte was a dry sponge cake like concoction and would have Prince von Metternich calling for an insurrection. The profiterole was just a little better. I would not say that the staff was particularly attentive. They were friendly when at our table and did joke around somewhat but otherwise kept to themselves near the Pizza oven. Only restaurant that wanted an extra 2% on a credit card payment for a not particularly cheap for Yogyakarta 3 adult plus young child meal.
