No longer at its best
We came here to celebrate a friend's departure for the Antipodes. From memory, this place served a delectable Pizza al Prosciutto and other dishes containing pork products. No longer! The Italian owner has appeared to have withdrawn from the business and a new broom has sweeped through the menu and 'Indonianized' what was a solid attempt at Italian cooking in the center of Java. The delightful setting, friendly but relatively inefficient service: starters arriving before the mains and one diner waiting 20 minutes after the other diners received their food even though there were hardly any other patrons, the tasty and well prepared salad dishes, managed to save this restaurant a 3* rating. Fruit juices were tasty too. Pizza with four different cheeses only had mozzarella and blue cheese. The mussels were decent but not overly exciting. The desserts were poor: The Sacher Torte was a dry sponge cake like concoction and would have Prince von Metternich calling for an insurrection. The profiterole was just a little better. I would not say that the staff was particularly attentive. They were friendly when at our table and did joke around somewhat but otherwise kept to themselves near the Pizza oven. Only restaurant that wanted an extra 2% on a credit card payment for a not particularly cheap for Yogyakarta 3 adult plus young child meal.

Love the food, atmosphere and attentive staff! Enjoyed the Mediterranean salad. Our family will be back soon during our visit to Jogya.

My family with 2 hungry sons visited this lovely restaurant for lunch. We sat outside in the front gardens which are delightful and we could watch our pizzas being made and put into the massive pizza oven. We ordered 2 pizzas and a pesto pasta. It was all delicious. The pizzas have a perfect thin crust and were cooked perfectly. The service is very good. Highly recommended
