Happiest eatery in Jimbaran
This is the happiest little restaurant in Jimbaran. And that is because all the staff - there were 3 young ladies to wait at perhaps half a dozen tables- and the lady running the restaurant, were giggling and laughing as they hopped from table to table, talking to all the guests dining with them. In addition to being the happiest, it is perhaps also the tiniest but that is probably why it’s food is superb - crafted plate by plate by an invisible magician who works as their chef. The entire length of the restaurant open out to the road front. That is perhaps it’s only drawback, because the ceaseless traffic makes for a noisy environment. But it is surprising how quickly you get used to the sound of traffic and begin to ignore it. The food is fusion, with a French accent, but not overpoweringly so. The portions are not large. While they are sufficient for most, the hearty eater will leave wanting a little more. I had the day’s special, which was a version of grilled chicken, while my wife ate curry noodles coco done with vegetables. Although they have a range of deserts, we didn’t order any. La Brasserie is well worth a visit for its food and its happy young staff.

A must do in Bali
Similar concept with the Melting Wok in Ubud. Top quality food, amazing service offered by Geraldine and her girls. The main difference with the Melting Wok is a wider choice of French dishes. The value for money is excellent. If there is 1 restaurant you must try, this is the one...
