Ju-Ma-Na may be Jumanji (many effects), but not Nirvana
First of all, do not listen to the resort receptionist about the dress code at this restaurant (“no shorts, proper shoes; if you don’t have long trousers, they will lend you a sarong”). Well, most men were in shorts, a few were wearing flip-flops. Several of the charming waitresses were in micro skirts anyway. Come on, we are in Bali after all! The setting is simple but light and chic. The view at sunset is idyllic. If it’s not too hot, sit outside - it’s lovely. We had the 6-course and the 5-course set menus. Most of the dishes were good, none was spectacular/memorable, and some were poor (too sweet). Lots of effort in plating, in fact the food looks better than it tastes. The drinks are gimmicky. At USD 150 per pax, it’s not outrageous, but at that price, you would expect better food.
