Delicious Indian and Indonesian food!
We ate here 4 times at the beginning and the end of our holiday. They serve very tasteful and authentic indian and indonesian food and some western dishes we didn't try at reasonable prices (25.000 for vegetable curry or samosas /Anker beer 35.000 i.e.). The Samosas are beyond delicious! The staff is really friendly and the cook is awesome! Sometimes it might take a while when you order a lot, but it's worth it! Don't care about people who obviously never eaten in Asia - they're the best at Jalan Jaksa!

Don't eat there.
We made the mistake to have lunch at this place. The waiter barely understood english but we were able to order. My chicken wings were burned and the rice I ordered never came.My girl had some chicken fried rice and a pineapple juice. The juice smelled and tasted horrible, so she left it and the food gave her a bad stomach for about a week.

A legend buffed up a bit
This is the legendary dive formerly known a Papa's where a generation or two of budget tourists and similar reprobates enjoyed cold beer throughout the year at a reasonable price in a legendary street of dives. The new management have put some band-aids on the , of the earlier severed part of the old Papa's and stuck a few ruffles here and there otherwise it remains essentially the same with core business being beer and the telly. Worth dropping in to enjoy a coldie in honour of the ghosts of tourists past.
