People who love traditional meal than modern fast food, should try this one. Gudeg is made from young 'jackfruit' (nangka muda) with santan, brown sugar, salt, and other seasonings...gudeg served with boiled egg, opor ayam, and chilly 'kerecek' hot but yummy! you must try! teh taste is sweet, light, simple but rich..

I like gudeg very much, but i can't find gudeg resto (in bandung) which served a good one. This resto (called rumah makan) is 1 of them, plus many cat may come in and "asking" for some food (unbelieveable)... The gudeg is a little bit too sweet, but i like their sambal so much.

Gudeg too sweet
This beautiful gudeg house is an old colonial house. I came before lunch time. There were only a few people dining in but many came for take aways. The gudeg komplit was too sweet (I prefer gudeg in Solo and Semarang). Its portion was too much for me. Half of it would do good next time. Hot-plain tea was IDR 2K for as much as you can drink. I paid IDR 37,5K for a gudeg komplit, a spring roll, two crackers and tea. Not bad... Limited parking space. No designated non-smoking area.
