(Serious) Lack of Hygiene
We first went to the toilet after a long bus drive. What we saw and smell was indescribable, horrible and we almost throw up. If this is their standard for hygiene I don't want to know what the status is of the food that they prepare! They ask 120.000 IDR per person for the buffet. Coffee and tea for "free". I don't know how the food tastes because we only bought bottled drinks and left.

Was brought to this restaurant for lunch by our tour guide. All you can eat buffet at IDR 100k per person but mostly all Indonesian food. Not many varieties. Only coffee or tea is complimentary. Not even sky juice or drinking water is complimentary. We ended up ordering a 1.5L bottle of Aqua mineral water for a ridiculous price of IDR 45k per bottle. This restaurant is totally a ripoff. Stay away. Strongly not recommended.

Great view of Mount Batur, otherwise dubious
My family and I never intended to go to this buffet restaurant, but our driver took us there saying he knew someone there, and before we knew it, we were at the restaurant against our better instincts. We arrived just before the lunch time crowd of tour groups flooding the buffet, so the restaurant is clearly doing some trade. The highlight was the astonishing, and clear view of Mount Batur. So picturesque and worth the stop! The downsides were everything else: mediocre food, although we had a nice waitress who attempted to point out allergen free foods with limited english. Trying to order drinks resulted in re-used, washed out Coke glass bottles from the 1990's (as labelled on the bottles themselves) with straws instead of freshly opened bottles. Asking after a glass of white wine for my wife resulted in our waitress telling us that they had run out of wine. :( Really? The strangest moments of our visit were the two dangerous sets of stairs down to the dirty toilets, where there was no privacy for females to go to the toilet in peace, as there was no main door to the toilets. My wife and children came out of their cubicles to find an older asian male loitering in the female toilets 'admiring the view' while pretending to look out of a semi-shuttered window. This is not acceptable at all. Those same older male tourists also took photos of my daughters without our permission while upstairs at lunch. Also, when my wife first arrived, the water was not turned on to the female toilet's handbasin, so she could not wash her hands, or those of our children. I wish things could have turned out better than (unfortunately) expected, but even as we all tried to eat as many innocuous and identifiable things as we could, like plain white rice, one of our daughters came down with vomiting and gastro the next morning, and the only dodgy place we ate at that day was this buffet restaurant. My wife had a bite of what was said to be a plain fish skewer, but do fish skewers have bits of fat and gristle in them? She shuddered, and ate no more of it. We'd suggest avoidance of this place, and if your driver wants to take you to there, ask to go somewhere more reputable.
