Best Baso Eaten
Although its just a corner sidewalk stall but the small and compact stall commanded a full-house impact. We had to share a table with a gentleman. As usual, Indonesian custom, always asked for permission prior to taking your seat. Also courtesy to address him when seating and acknowledging him when eating. I ordered the Baso campur, consisted of 2 (giant) baso kasar and 2 pcs of tahu. To enhance the soup, add abit of chilllie and black sauce. Squeeze in the lime provided and enjoy the delicious baso. I also ordered the Lontong (compacted rice) to be added into the baso soup. Ordered 4pcs of Gorengan (deep fried wanton with their specialty filling) which I dipped into the sauce (chillie paste and black sauce). As for the dessert, must try the refreshing Es Teller (consist of avocado and nangka pieces). We spent about Rp75k and remember to avoid the lunch crowd.

Hot hot hot baso
Stopping by after a CNY visit to a relative. At 2.30 pm in a sunday afternoon, the place was still full. It's situated at a pedestrian walk way besides a ruko, covered by 'tenda' (canvas). Is there an air conditioner? Dream on.. not even a fan. But despite the sauna like environment and dismall service, i would gladly go again. The baso kasar and halus were good. Soup had enough MSG and beef broth to be tasty. But the best was its gorengan. Soak it in the broth till all the crispy skin all wet and disintegrate. Yummmm. Like i said, we would come back.. so should you give it a try.
