Disappointed 1st visit
Having high expectation that at last we found Japanese restaurant that serve Monjayaki, despite of the no 5 stars review at the Trip Advisor, we deliberately went to this restaurant in South Jakarta so far from our home at the east, as we love so much the Monjayaki we had couple of times at the authentic traditional okonomiyaki restaurant "So....ro" at Asakusa-Tokyo, and that this Restaurant's best dish are Okonomiyaki and Monjayaki. Using google map we found the place: 1. No name board of the Restaurant at building entrance. The restaurant at 2nd floor we knew from the web. 2. Small restaurant but kind of having real Japanese ambience. This is the only one positive point from us. 3. Deliberately chose the upper part of the table rows which have the teppan grill. Ordered the Monja with cheese&mochi as the waitress tell us for the best monja there, with the large size when I ask the waitress whether it is enough or too big for two people (us 2 little lady), she said enough. Dissappointment start here: 1. Saw the waitress (not the chef) kind of cooking our order at the kitchen, which we expected will be on our table teppan grill in front of us. Turns-out all teppan grills were not working since months ago. (And the waitress didn't inform us earlier when we deliberately choose our seating or when we ordered the monja). 2. The Monja came full on small round grill plate on portable gas stove. How can we use our Moji Bera to create the okuge with this thick Monja like in a low pan. We asked then the Monja divided into two grill plates, waitress came with a bowl and moved half or the portion into it. 3. Monja taste was shockingly sour with a tille bit too salty. We end-up not to finish this one. 4. The restaurant did not accept credit/debit card payment for bill amount less than Rp.200,000. Waitress took our exact amount cash but did not return to gave us the payment slip. Our fault did not follow what Trip Advisor said, did not ask whether the teppan grill is working or not, did not ask what is the Monja we ordered taste. But the waitress at least be kind to informed us in advance when we choose the table with teppan grill, when we ordered the Monja, when we choose large portion that usually be served for 4 people.

Good okonomiyaki, bad service
The restaurant is a good place to have okonomiyaki and monjayaki. They also offer many nice small dishes. The sushi we had today was not very flavourful, however. The service was slow, even though the restaurant was mainly empty. We had ordered salmon sashimi, and it only arrived after we reminded the waitresses. The same thing happened to the people at the table next to us. The waitresses seemed to be more interested in chatting among themselves rather than serving the guests. The atmosphere is nice, but the restaurant needs a renovation. The floor is fixed with packing tape in several places. Oddly, the restaurant does not have a sign outside the building (look for the entrance between Ramen Sanpachi and 7-Eleven, take the stairs to the upper floor). We asked the waitress why, and she replied that the owner may have forgotten to have one installed. In contravention to local laws, the restaurant allows smoking after 3:00 pm.

Good Food, Bad Serving
+ : good food great ambiance -: bad waiter hard to locate traffic for everything, i really LIKE the food, okonomiyaki wa hontoni shubarashi, oishi. i came with my boss, which is a japanese, and we order 3 okonomiyaki, but only 2 being served. the waitress are not even reconfirm your order. they are hard to call, and most of time they talk to one another. taking bill takes lifetime.... man i would like to pay, GIVE my money to you, and yet still takes times? conclusion, came when you want good food, prepare for the worst.
