Dewata Agung Restaurant is now called Warung Shanti....
Our driver suggested we go to Warung Shanti for a local lunch. Close to Tirta Gangga Water Palace and lots of parking. As soon as we walked in, we could see it was a place where tourists were taken and prices on menu were some of the most expensive since we have been in Bali. Wife got a garden salad Rp.48,000.00 and I got a bowl of Tom Yam Gong (spicy seafood soup) Rp. 47,000.00 and a large water Rp.20,000.00. Server was nice and friendly. Wife enjoyed her salad, which was a good size and I enjoyed my soup, lots of mixed seafood and spicy. Total bill with 21% government tax and service charged included was Rp.139,150.00.....restaurant had lots of different seating levels to chose a table from with fish ponds, but I disliked it because they allowed stray dogs to wander around the tables looking for scraps of food.

This restaurant is just next to the Tirta Gangga Water Palace. We had asked our driver to recommend a good local place to stop for lunch and this is where he brought us. Though it has a nice surrounding, the food is overpriced and very below average. Both the chicken sate and fish were very dry. The dishes cost twice as much as our resort restaurant!

Nice ambience but lousy food
Recommended by our driver (whom I suspect gets a kickback ), this restaurant is located near the famous Water Palace. Service staff is friendly and helpful. Place is charming and picturesque with the dining area located inside little pagodas. And that’s all the good stuff I have to say. We ordered the special nasi goreng, chicken sate, some fish dish and a sandwich. Food is dry, tasteless and way below par. The saddest is the club sandwich. The only piece of meat is this rubbery ham that has seen better days. The fish was overcooked and hard. Special nasi goreng has nothing special about it. School canteen standard.
