Welcomed with open arm and served with good food
Chennai Café (open from 06:00 pm and onward) allocates a space among so many street food vendors at Bintaro Nine Walk Food Galore in Bintaro. It is the only Indian café in the area and it offers Indian menu from kari/curry (lamb and chicken), biryani or kebuli rice menu, fried rice, to authentic mie rebus Medan (noddle with fried shrimp (ebi) sauce) and mie Aceh. For me, the mie rebus Medan is a must as the taste is similar as mie rebus I used to enjoy when visiting my hometown in North Sumatra. However, the kari with nan roti or cane roti is wonderful as well. If you need a more fulfilling meal, try its biryani or kebuli rice. For drinks, do try their tea tarik (either hot or cold) with a touch of cinnamon which is a great pair to any meals of your choice. Don’t forget also to try its crisp but mushy and savory martabak. It comes with kari sauce. What special about the café is that the owner will always go around table to table to socially connected with his customers either to explain how the meals is prepared or to obtain the feedback on the menu. It is the place where you always feel that you are welcomed with open arm and served with good food.
