Cafe tepi pantai
Cafe dengan pemandangan laut teluk Jakarta, persis di tepi laut Pantai Mutiara. Baik dikunjungi sore hari untuk menikmati Sunset.

A local friend brought me here for lunch, after bracing a terrible 'machet' from Kota Tua. I was surprised to see such an upscale neighborhood, a completely different scene to Cikini, Menteng. Enjoyed the view by the quay. Really liked the Bakmi Sakaw, although it was a little too spicy. Priced above average for Bakmi, but I guess you pay for the ambiance. I can imagine that this would be a lovely place to dine for dinner.

Slow as a Snail
It was not my first time coming to Pantai Mutiara (Mutiara Beach) just to have a dinner. Actually there was a time in around 2012 where I came almost every week. But this was totally the first time eating at this so-called Dermaga Cafe. The atmosphere was nice because, like any other restaurants in Pantai Mutiara, it's freaking next to the sea. At night, it's totally cool. Dermaga Cafe was a really nice place to hangout with friends. The menu was not that variational since it only serves around 5 kinds of food for each group (appetizers, main courses, desserts, and side dishes), plus Bakmi Sakaw. Bakmi Sakaw is a kind of Chinese noodles, served with meat (not sure if it's halal or not) and you can choose the spiciness level. From 1 to 10, kind of. Back to Dermaga Cafe. The ambience was really nice. It's warm and homey and sweet. I would definitely give this a 4 if the service balanced the food. My aunt said, "Any fried potatoes?" And the waiter said, "Yes. Do you want potato wedges or french fries?" "Potato wedges, please." An age later, we asked the waiter again since our potato wedges hadn't come. Then the waiter said, "Sorry but it's not on the order list." Well, at least he said sorry. The problem was he already asked if we wanted potato wedges or fries. Then, he said, "Sorry but I forgot to write that down." FIIIIINNNEEE. Next up was when we were asking for bills. It took forever. Finally, my cousins decided to go to the cashier and paid right away. Funny, though, the potato wedges was on the bill. HOW? How exactly could that be? It's not written on the order list but it's on the bill. Freaking magic. And my cousin asked, "Maaf, Mas, kok disini pelayanannya lama ya?"--Sorry, why is the service so slow here? He politely answered, "Oh, disini memang kayak gitu, Mbak. Semuanya lama."--Oh, it was actually like that here. Everything is slow. Freaking genius. I love you. Will definitely come back for Bittenballs (Bitterballen?)--fried chicken balls with honey and mustard--when I'm patient enough. Thank you.
