On our last trip to Bali we got stuck there for 3 days due to volcanic action on Mt Agung. After returning from the airport when our flight was cancelled we debated where to go for dinner. We decided on Cafe Bamboo. We headed down the beach path along Sanur beach and found Cafe Bamboo as expected. The setting on Sanur Beach is excellent. The premises is clean and inviting and the staff are friendly. The food was well cooked and tasty, the portion sizes are excellent and well priced. All that said none of it was spectacular in that there are a dozen or so places along this stretch that are all very similar in terms of menu, quality, price and portion size. Definitely give it a go and we will come back if we are in the area again.

Great location on the beach
Had lunch here several times sharing a nasi goreng and a meal with mahi-mahi in the evening. Chose a table closest to the beach side so the wind douesn’t blow smoke from smoking diners across your table.

Dry white toast
There house breakfast is scrambled eggs, bacon, diced fruit salad (strange), coffee, juice and cold dry white bread with the crust cut off. Please just serve fried rice if the bread is going to be cardboard. Nice view
