Nice Food, Beautiful Setting.
We were staying at the Mayo Resort, so we had 2 breakfasts and two evening meals here. The breakfasts were very good. Plentiful and delicious. We had both the Western and Indonesian choices. Our first nights meal, the service was attentive but the meal took a while to arrive. The restaurant was fully booked and the staff were under some pressure but handled it well. We had Tom Kha Gai soup and Gado-Gado. The soup was good and the Gado-Gado was different - like they'd put a modern twist on a traditional dish. We both had the Indonesian curry which was excellent. Unfortunately, our first two choices of desserts were sold out - Lava cake and Creme Brulee. What we were offered instead was Fresh Fruits spring roll, which was basically a banana in a spring roll - it was a bit ordinary. The second night we pre-ordered the meal as requested on the menu - Beef Rendang and Satay. They were delicious, but top end prices of 150,000rp and 120,000rp respectively This time they made a point in letting us know that Chocolate Lava cake was available but the Creme Brulee still was not!! A bit disappointing as the dessert menu is fairly limited in the first place So we had the lava cake - very good. All in all, we enjoyed our meals here and thought they were of a reasonably high standard.

Great food and stunning view!
We went to this place for dinner and were warmly welcomed by the manager Riko. The food was served fast and while we were waiting we listened to the beautiful sound of the ocean and the harmonic music in the background. The waiters were very friendly and attentively, the food was more than excellent!! We can recommend this beautiful restaurant.

We celebrated new years eve on Bora Bora. The pickup transport to the restaurant was 1 hour late. The menu was almost conclusively 'western food'. On request they could offer very limited amount of indonesian dishes such as nasi goreng. The food itself can overall be described as tasteless and overcooked. The dryest grilled tuna we have ever encountered and the pasta with seafood was nothing better. Although the food was terrible, the service at the restaurant was very good and we had a good time. Our experience of the food clearly differs from other reviews, but based on our visit i would not recommend Bora Bora.
