Looking for good coffee
There are just too many cafes in seminyak Bali and u can be spoilt for choices. Every corner you turn there's a cozy joint offering great value breakfast or meal with a view. I have several favorites after having moved to Bali six months ago. I visit them for different reasons depending on what I feel like eating or who I feel like meeting on a particular day . Small cafes reflects a lot the personalities of their owners. Beyond fancy interior and great food, I think small cafe thrives on the energy of he person running it. Someone who is always there greeting, chatting and serving their customers to me is an important connectivity that draws customers back and create a regular following. Bondi expresso cafe is one such place. It is situated in Umalas, just a 5- minutes drive across the peaceful ricefields that separates tourist- crazy Seminyak from this peaceful enclave. .Bondi expresso bar offers a selection of pizzas, pastas and sandwiches along with healthy choices of fruit juices, kombucha, wheatgrass shots, multigrain roasts etc. My personal favorite breakfast combi is a healthy shot of wheatgrass with ginger and tumeric to cleanse the system,a generous serving of mashed avocado on multigrain toast. a glass of yummy alkalizing green juice and finish off with an aromatic brew of latte! Meeting the friendly regulars, chatting with owners of the cafe Sean and Deasy , sitting back and watch the villagers go about their daily activities, ceremonies, offerings, sharing travel experiences with expats who choose to call Bali their home, occasional bintang beer, and simply just embracing the luxury of timelessness in this laid back village.... It is my idea of an idyllic typical Balinese day ...
