Interesting old place for drinks & food
Came here on a Wednesday evening with three friends and for an hour or so we were the only ones there. Later some locals came to use the free pool table. The place was built in the 70's and has not since been updated, yet it is a quirky, kinda fun place. The staff are incredibly friendly. The bar is well stocked except for wine - which they keep in a big jug under a shelf and it is somewhat sweet and funky - not recommended. Apparently in the restaurant upstairs you can find good Australian wine. Our party had the lamb skewers which were well liked, lamb chops, also enjoyable, the cog au vin which was just okay, and the black pepper steak which was good. All dishes were slightly over salted. There is live music on some weekends. They allow smoking inside, which can be offensive. There are about 4 tables outside.

Good for beer but not for foodies
I was hoping for a place with decent Spanish food. Instead, I found a place that is defined by history, almost dive-like to be a cool place for drinking beer with friends. I ventured there for lunch. We were the only customers and I was cautious on my food selection...playing it safe with Fish and Chips. It was not a lunch where you say..wow, that was great. We should come back here again. My guests were not overly satisfied either. I am still curious about it's potential in the evening. Could be promising.

Delicious coq au vin in a retro place
This restaurant has retro feel to it, yet the food is delicious. My favorite soup there is the french onion soup which is quite light, but the taste of the caramelized onion is quite intense and combined with the melted cheese on top its just a balance between the clear and light soup and the richness of the cheese. I do have two favorite mains there, the first one would be coq au vin.. the chicken is tender and the sauce is rich and well balanced, paired with silky smooth mashed potato its just so delicious. The second main i love is their pork chop which is tender, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The portion is humongous each plate consists of two pieces of pork chop with large baked potato, sauteed vegetables and apple sauce. Succulent and yummy...
