North Sulawesi-style food in Ubud!
Spotted this little place across from Taco Casa and decided to give it a try—the waiter said they had only been open three days, although they had moved up from the Sanur area. It featured a short menu with food from Manado, which is hard to find on the more southerly Indonesian islands. I had Chicken Woku Blanqa and really enjoyed it. The flavors were closer to Thai or Vietnamese than to Javanese or Balinese food; the dish had ginger (lots), lemongrass, and, the guy said, saffron. Went down really well with a Bintang beer.
