Dry and uninspired signature dish and generally disappointing experience
With a great location right by the beach we were very disappointed by the decor and lack of ambience in this restaurant. My husband had the crispy duck, that the restaurant is known for and found the duck to be dry and deep fried to the point of almost being un-eatable. I had the crispy duck salad which hardly had any duck in it albeit from my husbands experience with the duck, maybe that was a good thing ! The Dirty Duck is an Indonesian chain restaurant which we understand generally has a good reputation. However, our experience at their Nusa Dua restaurant to be disappointing and well below our expectations. There are so many good restaurant options in Bali, this, in our view, is not one of them and we will not be coming back - despite the restaurants beautiful location on the beach.

Local specialty by a beachside setting
I came here with a group of colleagues for dinner and were seated at a raised covered platform which was pleasantly cool but lots of mosquitoes (they provide bug spray). It was very atmospheric at night. The duck was tasty and crisp, though slightly dry and not particularly large or meaty. We ordered several sets to share. It came with three dips, ranging from mild to very spicy (which was delicious). Prices are touristy, and this isn't the best version of bebek that I have had in Bali, but overall it was a pleasant evening out.

DO NOT GO
Visited here with a work group and my suspicions that it would be terrible were well founded. The food quality was terrible, their specialty the duck was nothing but a dehydrated carcass with next to no meat. I ordered the grilled seafood and even the resident dog refused to eat it, as did I. They serve nothing more than bottled beer (warmish) and soft drink. I asked for a wine and was told we don’t do that.
