Ouahhh that was some nice Italian food and great service
Went with my mum and sister and let's just say that almost everything was absolutely perfect.... Food was great, service expectional. My mum was in heaven. I didn't even had the time to take pictures of our plates as they were already finished lol The only small bad thing I would say in hope managment will read this, was the calypso band that play a song and expect a tip. I do that when I go to Jimbaran but in a restaurant with the standards of Basilico, I thought it doesn't belong, a band playing and then waiting for the tips. I go to many places where they have some bands and when it's a nice hotel or restaurant, they are there to play, not to get tips from the clients. Just wanted to point this out However this restaurant was absolutely perfect and staff were professional to the point I have rarely seen in Bali.

Lovely- as always !
We have dined at Basilico at the Prama Sanur Beach Hotel on many occasions and have never been disappointed. Since our last visit 5 years ago, the decor, and the menu have undergone a revamp, as have the prices, making it very affordable & appealing for hotel guests to dine in the resort, instead of heading out to one of any number of nearby restaurants. Smart move! The Basilico has a lovely ambience with cool breezes coming straight in off the sea, through slatted bi-fold doors and is perfect for a quiet intimate dinner, or for a group. On arrival, they serve (complimentary) crusty bread with a yummy pesto and a tomato and olive oil salsa. The wine list is good & prices are very reasonable. The menu caters for a wide variety of tastes, and everything we had there (over several evenings) was delicious. If I had to be 'picky' the only exception was the barely cooked onion wedge served as an accompaniment to all our meals. My husband actually suggested that the chef needs to roast the onion much longer, as it seemed to have been simply swirled around in a fryingpan to give it a 'tan' but was basically raw. When he asked if most of the onions are left on the plates at the end of the meal, the waitress agreed that, yes, they were! However, that certainly did not spoil our overall dining experience there. We will be back again next time!
