Nice Thai food with a twist
I have been Thailand on multiple occasions and I can say that the food served at Basil Leaves was no where close to authentic Thai Food but that does not mean that the food was not tasty. I loved their Spicy Thai Chicken. The price was reasonable but the downside was that they did not serve rice as compared to other Warungs - You would have to buy rice separately although it was not pricey but the expectation is that it should come along with the dishes.

Wow....I’m not sure what happened, but we read the reviews and came to this hole in the wall based on all the great comments. Did they change ownership? Because our food was hands down the worst Thai food I’ve ever eaten. The pad Thai noodles were bland with no bean sprouts or any other usual garnishes. The Tom Yum soup tasted like leftover day old broth. The only good thing was the beer bottles served in neoprene coolers and was ice cold. Overall not a good experience and am really hoping there was a good reason for the poor meal we had and that it was an off day for them.

Thai food in Kuta
A good modest cafe in Kuta offering a selection of Thai dishes. Great for those looking at authentic Thai food at almost cheap prices. Nothing fancy but will do good as a normal lunch/dinner or a takeaway. Portions are middle-sized, the amount of seafood is substantial.
