High Standard & Delicious
AW Kitchen is an Italian restaurant run by a Japanese chef under Chinese-Indonesian ownership. Its outlet in Plaza Indonesia is tucked away on a corner of the 2nd floor and is not especially eye-catching. It does though serve some really quite tasty food. AW is fairly bland looking with an attempt to be classy with various dark grey and black tones. The low lighting makes it look dull rather than stylish though. The main seating area can take a couple dozen people. The private room at the back is separated by having a Japanese style screen pulled across. Food options are mainly quite heavy and expensive. However, the vegetarian option of a spaghetti with vegetables was remarkably delicious. The sauce was sumptuous, a rich and thick flavouring that made it taste superb. The roasted aubergine on top was wonderful. Despite being just a spaghetti dish it was a really enjoyable main course. Accompanying wine was nice though the dessert was a little disappointing. Price is relatively high because the target audience is for those who enjoy a bit more quality. Service was attentive, polite, with some English spoken. Meals were thoroughly enjoyed and the plating was elegant. AW Kitchen is a good place for those who want to try something high standard and delicious.

I like the food and how it meets with my expectation. Delicious. The beverages are also scrumptious.
