Fantastic place to stay in Hillsboro - clean, well maintained rooms, hot shower, private Japanese style baths. Restaurant breakfast was fresh and tasty.

The property was impeccably clean and hospitality was top notch. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was quality and tasty food. We would love to stay again next time we are in the Portland area.

Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Convenient location. I really wanted to love this place however the bed was probably the most uncomfortable i have slept in and i am typically not picky. My husband and I both did not sleep well at all and only one thin pillow was provided.

Loved the Japanese theme. Onsen was relaxing as well as the deep soaking tub. Only complaint is the fancy toilet was noisy during the night. Also the tub wasn’t cleaned thoroughly, there were hairs in there. Otherwise it’s a lovely hotel and my family enjoyed it.

Very quiet and serene space. Loved the bidet, the koi pond, the rain shower. Very comfortable bed, check in was a breeze. Waterfall was a lovely breakfast-Aiden was knowledgeable, professional and attentive. Loved the items for sale in the lobby, too. Everything was just perfect.

This place is clean, quiet and wonderful. The Onsen style baths are incredibly relaxing. The sake bar rules. The staff is beyond nice and accommodating. It's my favorite hotel in the Portland area for sure. My only complaint is their antiquated ice machine. Otherwise, this is an excellent place to stay.

I liked the aesthetic and cleanliness most of all. Bathroom was huge! Nice bidet. 2 pools but not unisex. Shower and bathroom water temp was not hot enough but sink was way too hot. Expedia’s stated there was a swimming pool, however, the facility stated they had 2 hot springs… they were not hot springs and only one accessible per gender. 2 ft deep warm pool basically.

Beautiful property ... check-in was very good [Sam]. ROOM: The room was attractively appointed, clean and decorated with a strong aesthetic style. Downside - while there was hot water at the sink - the shower had no hot water service. After letting the shower run for several minutes I stopped to stem the water waste. I reported the experience to the desk staff at check-out. FOOD SERVICE: the breakfast offerings were very good when delivered, but the service was very slow in presentation to the table. NOTE: we were the ONLY two customers in the restaurant. Overall, the experience was a mixed outcome given the shower experience and untimely food delivery ... Disappointed on the main - but we'll try this property again and will check the shower "first thing" upon arrival.

Very quiet and restful weekend. Restaurant was good, staff all very attentive.

This is my second time booking a room at the CedarTree hotel. I like the place since it is very quiet and close to the stores, and my family. Next time I return, I’ll reserve a room again.

The television turned itself on during the middle of the night. It was loud and in the living room area. My husband, who is a light sleeper, got out of bed and turned it off. It took him over an hour to fall asleep again. Shortly after falling asleep, loud footsteps were heard from above our bedroom. Needless to say, we were not well-rested for our 9:00 am business meeting. There was no trash can in the kitchen / living room. There were no paper towels in the in the kitchen. The Onsen experience was indeed lovely. Hotel staff was kind and helpful. We paid too much for this Holiday Inn style experience.

A perfect blend of tradition and comfort! This Japanese-style hotel offers a serene atmosphere, cozy tatami rooms, and a relaxing onsen. The staff is welcoming, and the food is amazing. A truly peaceful getaway!

It's a much more relaxing atmosphere than in a typical hotel. Bathrooms were clean and far beyond any other place in this price range.

The front desk staff and restaurant staff were amazing specially Sam . I like how clean and so calming this hotel was . Definitely making another trip and staying in this hotel . I wish they offered an iron instead of having to rent it . Besides that , my family and I enjoyed our stay .
