The Boardwalk Hotel

Hotel was very nice, great kitchenette with everything you need to make basic meals but also near several great restaurants. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Bidet toilets are very loud and automatically flush - you can hear your neighbors toilet flushing. Beds were confortable but low to the gound so may be a challenge for some. Minimal parking and requires pre booking. There is not a lot of other parking in the area so be sure to book that right away. Overall highly reccomend and would stay here again.

Fantastic stay. Great Spa, Shower, toilet that is heated and has a bidet? And beds were comfortable and pillows were awesome!

Our stay felt relaxing, secluded, and not to mention beautiful!

The place was clean and about a block from the beach. But you can hear every sound for a square block in the room. It is not luxury, just sort of average, but clean place.

It was my boyfriend‘s 21st birthday trip, and the general manager there gave us a complimentary bottle as well as upgraded our room for free for his birthday. I think the service was amazing. The only thing that we had an issue with was when we got into our hotel, there was an empty bottle of body wash and not enough towels. The cleaning lady also did not clean our room once the three days that we were there. Other than that, my boyfriend and I had an amazing time staying at this hotel. We really recommended it, and thank the general manager a lot for what she did for us. I will also say that make sure you buy a guest pass for the parking! My boyfriend and I had a hard time finding parking there, but it all got solved when we paid to use the parking the hotel offered us the rest of the time we were there.

Such an amazing location! Easy access to the beach and the bay. Great hub for our adventures! Our room was spacious and clean but definitely lacking in insulation. The walls are thin and you can hear everything going on in the neighborhood. If you are a rewards member and expecting perks, they will not be provided as there is no actual office staffed 27/7

I really enjoyed my stay! The room was clean, the bidet was a nice touch, and I had one of the best night's sleep I've ever had while traveling. Absolutely fantastic location between Mission Beach and Mission Bay. I was a little worried when it appeared to be on a side street or alley, but NOPE, it was in the perfect location. I didn't interact with the staff face-to-face, but I am glad they were able to accommodate my early check in. That was really important for me. Also, ask if there are places nearby where you can drop off your bag for a couple of hours. I definitely recommend it and would consider staying there on my next trip to San Diego.

Wonderful hotel and located in a very nice area close to the beach. We had a great time, and hope to stay there every time we travel to San Diego!

Wonderful comfortable and spacious room with private patio area! Full kitchen with dishwasher, full fridge, microwave, bar set, stovetop, and coffee machine! Beautiful bathroom with antifog mirror, showerhead and handheld shower, very comfortabel bed, table with 2 chairs, and beautiful full length mirror. I cannot wait to stay here on my next trip to San Diego!!

Lots of places super close to walk for breakfast/dinner. Easy proximity to beach. Def go again.

Great location. Everything is very new & clean. Parking is offered at reasonable rate with spaces directly in front of rooms. Loved the keyless enrty. LOVED the remote controlled bidet w/water temp & pressure options, heated seat & lighted bowl.

I really enjoyed my stay, the check in and check out process was easy and all my questions were answered over the phone, so friendly and so helpful. The rain shower in the bathroom was perfect. The kitchenette in our room had everything we needed to make a nice steak dinner, and we had a nice walk around the area. I would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I would rate it 2 out of 5 stars. Firstly, there was no way to lock the motel door, which is a major safety concern. Additionally, there were no extra safety precautions in place, making me feel quite uneasy throughout my stay. The hotel is situated in a sketchy area, which only added to my discomfort. To make matters worse, there was virtually no staff presence. I only saw staff on site once during my entire stay, which made it difficult to address any issues or concerns. The shower was another major problem; it would turn cold whenever someone flushed the toilet, making it difficult to enjoy a comfortable shower. The noise level in the surrounding area was extremely high, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Overall, the lack of safety measures, poor location, minimal staff presence, and subpar amenities made my stay very unpleasant. I will not be staying at this hotel again, and I do not recommend it to others.

Beautifully renovated with amazing access to the beach and the bay. Attention to detail in the rooms was notable - from the bathrooms to the kitchen. Comfy beds and overall both lovely and functional. The only challenge was proximity to neighbors on the property (you could hear everyone's every move) - bring ear plugs/use a sound machine and you'll be fine. This property is worth it!

The place was located seconds from the beach. There’s an amazing breakfast/brunch cafe on the corner as well as a terrific Caribbean place across the street. The room was stylish and fully furnished with stylish cooking utensils and retro/modern flair. The service was prompt and friendly! There were only a few small issues that made our experience a smidge from perfect. Overall with the price and thoughtful touches, I would definitely recommend this place and I’ll be coming back again for sure!
