Disappointing , small amount and dry.
Saw the reviews thought this would be great , however portion size was tiny and it was dry ends of the pork nothing juicy on our plates , also crackling without salt , who does that ? Plus one crackling was soft . Cost 304,000IDR with 2 small bintangs, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere for Babi Guling

Pork skin too hard
First a few good points: The presentation of food was well done. Sparkling water can be ordered (maybe since this warung changed its concept to a German one, naming itself Extrablatt as many exist in Germany). The menu is also in both German and english, which was funny to see. Each saturday is a special dedicated to German pork day, which I could not test. The bean salad was the best side salad i have tested. This is why i give one more point. Now the critical points which can be improved in my view: The crackling skin was not chewable. Way too hard and obviously let's to the assumption that they have not given us pork skin which was just now or the same day made. I have tasted several babi gulings including the famous one in Ubud, ibu oka, and never encountered such a hard skin. The rest was ok in taste, but there are two babi guling plates. One without skin around 60k and another with skin at around 90k. We took the latter. So you can imagine the deception when the skin was merely to not edible...

Great food & service
We visited this warung this week and were pleasantly surprised. It was being built on our previous trip to Bali. The babi guling dishes were all well priced and delicious. We also had a platter of German sausages that were great too. Service was fantastic. The staff took our orders in a very timely manner and food came out quickly. The warung is more western style than a traditional warung, selling both Indonesian and German cuisine. The restaurant is a little out of the way from the beach, but well worth the taxi fare. We highly recommended it!
