Excellent Steak for all the carnivore
It was so randomly came to this restaurant, like i always did. I pass by and see the neon sign were calling me "barrels aged steak house" which probably this is the first time i found aged steak in Jimbaran area. I greeted by nice young man, and he explained to me some of the signature from the menu. Because most of them is like spanish words, so i came down with Tenderloin 250g and been 45 days aged medium rare, aragula salad with green apple and grated parmesan (which is the best!!!!), and some hot tea. After they bring the starter (warm bread and butter) they sent my delicious gorgeous steak. One plus point, they cut the steak for me. Maybe some of you steak lover cut your own steak is unbelievable foodgasm so you need no on to be your steak like me, but tonight, i forgive them lol. The juice tender moist steak in front of me, the sauce is awesome and literally dancing so perfectly in my mouth between the meat, aragula, parmesan, and the mushroom sauce. I highly recommend this place if you would like to have Grade A aged steak. For all those meal i had tonight cost me IDR 352k which is good price for awesome supper.

A Culinary Gem in Jimbaran
We came for Christmas Dinner and was met with a beautiful and amply-timbered restaurant; appreciate the “barrel” aesthetic. For starters you can’t go wrong with the cold cuts, we got the tabla reserva. From the get go it’s clear the restaurant is a fine purveyor of cured meats. The jamon iberico is the real deal, and the chorizo and salchichon are equally as delicious. Worth every Rupiah. Pasta cooked in a giant Parmesan wheel is definitely a fading fad nowadays but you should definitely order the Parmesan wheel tagliatelle, it’s just the right combination of decadently garlicky and luxuriously cheesy (no pun intended). For mains, please do yourself a favor and order the pollo asado. I would say it’s currently the best roast chicken in Bali, don’t be surprised that you’ll find yourself dipping every other food you have in the chicken jus, it’s that good. The steaks are good, but that’s to be expected for Grade A Wagyu or USDA prime beef. What I truly appreciate from Barrels is how the restaurant is able to elevate cheaper cuts and meats to a level that competes with their grade A offerings, and we need that kind of meticulous detail and culinary passion in Bali. A great experience overall!

Good food - woeful service
As per the title. This restaurant offers some excellent steak at prices to match. However the service is dreadful. I’ve been here twice. Staff don’t seem to care at all, just going through the motions. Last night I had to chase up the drinks twice. I’d say there were maybe 20 customers. It does not take 15 minutes to take the caps off a couple of bottles of beer and pour two glasses of house wine. I’d suggest staff have only one speed and no ability to go up a gear when needed. Courses do not come out at same time, ever. So you end up doing that awkward ‘please, you guys go ahead and eat...no no we’ll wait for you..no your food will get cold...” type of discussion. In fact one of our party was still waiting on their main after everyone else had finished- they ended up having it packed to take home. No apologies from staff - who honestly couldn’t care less. It’s not like the place is massively busy. Staff often outnumber the customer. We refused to leave a tip last night. I have neighbours who walked away half way through dining as they were so appalled by service at the cost they were going to pay. Steak is excellent - but balance this against the frustration you will existence from poor service.
