Sri Tanjung is a train operated by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Indonesian Railways Company) that serves the route between Banyuwangi and Yogyakarta. This air-conditioned economy class train covers long-distance track, with Banyuwangi Baru Station and Yogyakarta Lempuyangan Station as its main stops. The express train, which is operated under 9th Operational Region of Jember, covers the distance of 614 kilometers every day, with the approximate speed of 40 and 90 kilometers per hour. The travel duration for each trip is around 13 to 15 hours. Sri Tanjung Train serves one regular back-and-forth trip every day. The train departs from Yogyakarta Lempuyangan Station to Banyuwangi Baru Station at 07.00 AM. The trip is about 13.5 hours-long, and the train arrives in Banyuwangi at 08.30 PM. On the other side, the train leaves from Banyuwangi Baru Station at 06.30 AM. The trip is around 12.5 hours-long, and the train arrives in Yogyakarta at 07.30 PM. The government subsidizes the ticket price, and it uses flat tariff, which is IDR 94,000 per passenger. The train has several facilities for comfort during travel. All passengers will feel comfortable during a trip with air conditioners in all the carriages. The toilet is available at the end of every passenger carriage. There is a wall socket beside every passenger seat to recharge cell phone battery. There are also small tables to put drinks or snacks.
