The Bogowonto train, or also known as “Sepur Bogowonto” in Javanese, is an economy class train with AC service connecting Yogyakarta and Jakarta. As an economy class train, Bogowonto operates at the main economic lines, namely the Lempuyangan (Yogyakarta), and Pasar Senen (Jakarta) stations. Every day, this train serves the route of Yogyakarta-Jakarta in a return journey. The train departs at 9:00 a.m. from Lempuyangan Yogyakarta, and returns at 9:45 p.m. from Jakarta. From the operational aspect, the Bogowonto train is within the management of Regional Operations VI in Yogyakarta. Serving the economy class travel (non-PSO), the Bogowonto train offers train tickets at a higher price than the usual economy class train. For an 8-9 hours travel, the Bogowonto train sells its tickets at a price range of Rp150.000-Rp285.000 per passenger. The price depends on the position of the seat/subclass, booking period, and the train departure time. However, because of its convenience and services, the Bogowonto train is one of the railroads with the highest daily passenger occupancy. Every day, this train can transport up to an average of 1.440 passengers. Moreover, this fleet is also the first economy class train in the country that has air conditioning facility. As an economy class with an air conditioner Plus and non-PSO train, Bogowonto provides some adequate facilities. The train provides wagons with air conditioner and toilet. The seats are set upright at 90 degrees, and cannot be rotated or changed position. At each seat, there are two electric sockets the by the window to provide energy for your cell phone. The dining service is also available and offered by the train attendant, or you can also head to its buffet car. The Bogowonto train stops at several stations in addition to its departure and arrival stations. While reaching Lempuyangan (Yogyakarta) from Pasar Senen Station (Jakarta), the Bogowonto train will stop at nine stations in Central Java, West Java, and Jakarta. The stations include Wates, Jenar, Kutoarjo, Kebumen, Gombong, Kroya, Purwokerto, Cirebon Prujakan, and Haurgeulis stations. Bogowonto train also stops at Notog, Ciledug, and Jatinegara stations when it departs from Lempuyangan.
