The resort was great: spacious, aesthetically pleasing, and in a good location. The food was also great. The staff was accommodating and helpful. My only gripes: 1. We checked in as a big group, which is apparently something they try to avoid (due to noise). Upon checking in, they were already warning us that the owner really dislikes noise -- almost as if they assumed we would cause a ruckus (which we didn't). 2. We checked out at 12nn, and planned to leave at 6pm to avoid Manila traffic. So, we decided we wanted to swim. We were charged P200 per towel, and another P250 to swim. That would've been acceptable if we were outsiders, but we had just checked out after booking 5-6 rooms, 2 of which were studio rooms! I believe hotels should provide consistent end-to-end service, and should be accommodating to customers even shortly after they have checked out. It's not like we left and returned on another day.

Beautiful, quaint place. The hotel is a few meters walk to the beach/surfing spot. The rooms look dated but I appreciated it still because everything was in order - the aircon was cool enough, the room was clean-ish and the room was spacious. It’s unfortunate that the proprietress (who is also the receptionist) isn’t welcoming at all, and may I say even snarky. It was our first time in LU and we loved the vibe, but this aspect ruined it for us. (Of course, I couldn’t speak for others because she might have only discriminated against us young travelers - I really don’t know.) Needless to say, we won’t re-book because there are other hotels in the area that offer far better service. P.S. I think wedding receptions are common here, so if you’re booking on a weekend, be prepared to not to be able to lounge in the pool area. There was a wedding when we arrived and we were quite disappointed. Also, Amare La Cucina is here. Good Italian food.

Pros: near the beach and has a pool. Cons : - expensive. No breakfast included - if you have a toddler, you need to pay 500 pesos per day (no extra bed) - strict on headcount. If you have an additional person, you will pay 1000 pesos per day day but no extra bed provided. Or you will be pushed to book another room or a bigger room - owner doesn't allow requests. In our experience, I booked 2 budget rooms here and requested for an adjacent room. She told me she won't allow it because the online rooms are far from each other. - staffs are kinda rude, doesn't smile and seems like they're very much scared from the owner - ambience of the hotel is not hospitable. Seems all eyes are looking on you. - there were a lot of mosquitoes and ants upon entering the room - the toilets were not clean when we entered. There are a lot of soap remnants on the sink and shower area. This hotel is not a family oriented place. It's like you're entering a convent with a lot of do's and don't (a lot of signs actually are posted everywhere). We didn't feel we were welcome to this place. Thanks for our stay but we will never go back to this resort!

We had an amazing time here! Not sure why people are complaining about the inn keeps. Ms Susan, Ate from the counter, and the other grounds keeper, even the guards were so friendly! The dogs snowpie and stephie were so friendly too. The resort has a beautiful pool area, amazing view of the sunset from the balcony, rooms were cozy and clean! They changed our towels and toiletries immediately after our first day and I just can't stress enough how many and accessible the water dispensers around the resort were. There was a lot which was so convenient. The restaurant, Amare, which was connected to the resort served delicious pizza too! Overall amazing stay! Thank you to the amazingly hospitable hosts!

Location and ambience of the hotel was very good except the room we stayed. Room number 4, has lots of spider webs and doesn't clean properly.

The hotel has a good view of the beach. The place's exterior is aesthetic. Our room was neat and the bathroom is clean. Air conditioning is good as well. The receptionist is approachable and kind. Our stay in this hotel is really a wonderful experience :)
