Friendly staff and quaint Inn. Was very nice to have a cozy fireplace in the room, especially when the weather outside was cold and wet. Our room and bedding were comfortable, though overall a bit dated with basic amenities. Would have liked if the room had been a bit more thoroughly cleaned... a few dust bunnies around bathroom and coffee table, as well as a sticky cover on guest info book by TV.

The location is convenient to Asilomar and the dunes. Not convenient for dining. Unless you are a big biker, you will want a car to find food. There is a frig and microwave for easy stuff to eat. Staff are nice. It was a budget stay and it satisfied my needs. There is a coffee maker in the room. I didn't like the coffee so be prepared to find better coffee out or bring your own maker.

The place is good for a sleep in for the price. Close to the beach and quiet location. I would not stay there with young children. For grownups, it is great location as close to the outdoor activities.

This use to be our “go to” place during our frequent trips to Monterey. Not for location because it’s out and away from anything but for its quiet and cleanliness. Well management has recently changed and it has went downhill in a hurry. Walls and floors have always been paper thin so it must be the new clientele that makes loud and smelling like marijuana. It’s super dirty and smelly. There was blood or fecal matter on the toilet, used band aid in the shower along with hair and the kid had mysteriously bites on her legs after the stay. It’s just gross and will never be staying or recommending this place again
