I liked my stay at Sawatdee. Initially booked one night and then stayed for two more. The room was clean, basic and good for the 280 baht price. The fan was sufficient to keep me cool (although the sound from the neighboring room was noisy as walls are thin). The entire place is very clean and well-maintained. There were almost no guests because of covid so the place was very calm and there were hardly any people in the shared bathroom and toilets downstairs (thin toilet paper should not be offered for hand drying though!). The owner is a very pleasant and helpful lady who let me stay for a late check out for free. The area is not close to major tourist attractions, but on the other hand it is very close to a public transport pier, which makes using the dirt-cheap Bangkok ferry very easy. There is a 7-11 right across the road and a beautiful temple around the corner.
