Stayed at Wisma Makara UI for 2 nights on weekdays, I was worried it would be too quiet but apparently there were still many people staying. The location is easy to reach if you're having an event within the UI area, just look for the yellow UI bus stops that go to the hostel or you can use an online motorcycle taxi as well. The rooms in this guesthouse are without carpet, so the nuances really feel very different. The mattress is comfortable, the towels are clean and smell good, including complete toiletries. The air conditioner works well as well as enough television shows as entertainment while staying there. For the internet, because I happen to have an event at UI so I can connect directly, but don't worry, the guesthouse will still provide an internet password. For me this internet connection is very beneficial, I can even surf to the UI library which has access to various paid journals. The service is great, I found an incident here. There was a cockroach in the bathroom and I noticed it after a while. I understand this because I took a room directly facing the garden. Thankfully there is a cleaning staff cleaning the restaurant that I can ask to get the cockroaches out, even though it's already over 10pm. The next day I found my room cleaned even more thoroughly. I ordered dinner, the fried rice here is delicious, the juices are also fresh, including when I tried the gelato in front of the Teratai restaurant, the taste was also delicious at an affordable price for the price of eating at a hotel. I didn't get to see the breakfast menu at the restaurant, because I was running out of time. But on the first day I got breakfast service delivered to the room, it just so happened that the fried rice menu was the same as what was ordered the night before. If you have enough time, you can try going for a morning walk or cycling around the guesthouse, the air is still fresh with lots of shady trees.

Everything was okay until I got the breakfast. Milk was not fresh and the butter is already melted. Got an upset stomach a few hours after the breakfast 😅.

Cool with lots of shady trees. Spacious room. Breakfast is complete and delicious. Plus lucky to meet national athletes who also stay here. Easy access to UI with yellow bus. Access outside the UI with ojol.
