Johneva Beach Resort

Located along Crystal Beach in Zambales, Johneva Beach Resort is an ideal spot for those looking for a beach vacation in the Philippines’ surfing capital while on a budget. Here, guests have access to spacious, group-friendly cottages, the beach, a minimart, restaurant, water and beach sports, and free parking.

The sprawling grounds of Johneva Beach Resort houses a variety of accommodations, from dormitory-style rooms to cottages and villas. The Closed Cottage comes with an electric fan, two bunk beds, and an outdoor eating area, which opens to a view of the garden and the grounds. Villa Sunset is a 10-person accommodation that comes with separate bedrooms with bunk beds and single beds, a private bathroom, and electric fans for cooling. Villa Sunrise, on the other hand, comes with a living room, bathroom, kitchen, and air-conditioning. Maximum capacity is six people.

The AC Rooms can fit two to six people, and come with air-conditioning, private bathroom, and double beds and bunk beds. Large groups can book either Villa Johneva, a room fitted with ten double beds and wall-mounted electric fans, or the Dormitory Room, a room with electric fans, nine bunk beds, and three double beds—enough for 20 people.

Guests can enjoy Filipino-style breakfast and local snacks at the resort’s restaurant, or have an outdoor barbecue at the picnic tables and grills on the resort’s tree-laden garden.

WiFi is available in selected spots.

The resort spruces up the beach with beach and water activities, including volleyball, surfing, camping, and bonfires. Drinks and snacks for the beach are available at the minimart.

The resort is a three-hour drive from Manila.
