I recommend this room. Very comfortable. It look like I am in high star hotel. Just some little bit issue about the blankets are so thin might have some thick because sometimes it's cold. But generally it's good and comfortable. Will book again.

Not a good hotel to stay. We arrived the place no receptionist around. We waited like 20 min or more. To find out the elevator got broken. They put us up on 5th floor. No help offered to us to bring our bags upstairs. The next day my hospital appt got canceled cause the safety vault can't be open. Waited 2 hours to get hold of the maintenance guy. Very bad experience to say.

About

Sandiganbayan

Fairview or more commonly known as “Farview,” especially to those who live on the South side of the metro, is a budding area of commerce and leisure in the last few years. This bustling suburban neighborhood area in Quezon City has since evolved into a destination for the younger crowd.

Quezon City has been known to have been developing the city to accommodate modern businesses and residential properties in the last few years. One of the more developed areas is Fairview with the simultaneous development of commercial centers, residential subdivisions and leisure spots. The once seemingly quiet and geographically undesirable place is now the new hot spot for day dates and evening hangouts.

How to Go

By land transportation

If traveling by bus, the best route is via EDSA Northbound. Take the Quezon Avenue stop then from there, take a shuttle going to Fairview. If traveling by train, the line is via MRT 3 along EDSA. Take the northbound route and get off the Quezon Avenue station. Just the same, take the shuttle going to Fairview.

If going to Fairview by car, there are various highways to choose from: EDSA, C-5 or Quezon Avenue. From there, the destination is the Elliptical Road or Quezon City Circle. Then take the Commonwealth exit and drive straight for six (6) kilometers or around twenty (20) minutes.

Getting Around

Getting around the area, the best way is to take the tricycle (a motorcycle with a passenger wagon on the side). For those who are planning on going to farther areas where the highway needs to be taken, jeeps and shuttles are also options.

Tourist Attractions

La Mesa Ecopark

More for the urban traveler, Fairview offers a variety of options for an enjoyable city experience. One of the top destinations in the area are the parks. The most common of which is the La Mesa Ecopark where the famous La Mesa Dam is located.

SM Fairview

Other destinations in Fairview are its malls that offer unique restaurant choices and a modern yet eco-friendly ambiance. Malls such as SM Fairview and Ayala Fairview Terraces are top of mind malls when Fairview is mentioned.

Top Things to Do

In La Mesa Ecopark, a lot of activities are offered such as boat rides, fishing, even picnics are allowed within the area. It’s more of a controlled nature experience and it’s as if you are really in a forest.

Ayala Fairview Terraces

Malling is fun when it comes to Fairview. The most popular malls are SM Fairview and Ayala Fairview Terraces both along Quirino Highway. The first mall is one of the bigger SM Malls, while the latter is a mall that attracts those that want a rural and urban feel at the same time.

Another must-try are the recently built food parks in Fairview. It has been gaining popularity and Fairview is not late in the game. Whether you are alone or on a date or with a group of people, this is the ideal destination for you.

Where to Eat

If you are looking for Mediterranean cuisine with a taste of Filipino style of cooking, Tri Mo Shawarma Co along Bristol street, has been the talk of the town for quite some time now.

Tapsilog Meal

If you are more in the fine dining style, you should also visit Casa Renato along Dahlia Avenue. The place was also a house that was converted into a restaurant, hence the cozyand romantic vibe. Among the must-tries on the menu is their tapsilog (fried beef, fried rice, and sunny side up egg).

For the more hip areas to eat and at the same time have a different dining experience, you should try Laro Board Game along Regalado Avenue, where diners get access to the restaurant’s library of board games. Another one is Mass Starvation along Buick street – the place offers modern day comfort food. You will also get a knack out of their menu including the #NoJudgement burger.

Nightlife

There are bars along Regalado Avenue, including the Filipino favorite karaoke, if you want to experience some night action in Fairview.

More notable, though, are the food parks in the area. Going to Fairview means enjoying modern food in a somewhat provincial vibe. One of these places is the Backyard Food Park along Regalado Avenue, with over 15 food stalls in a 1,000 square meter space.

Another one is the Street Food Park at the border of Fairview and Novaliches, where there are different food concepts in customized shipping containers in a backyard, picnic-style set-up. The best part is that these food parks offer food at very affordable prices that will guarantee a happy pocket as much as a happy tummy.

Where to Stay

Due to the suburban nature of Fairview, there are not a lot of luxury hotels yet in the area. There are, however, traveler hotels such as Hotel Sogo, Sitio Manuel Hotels, and Events Center along Regalado Avenue and several inns along the highway.

If you want a luxury hotel, you may opt to look for hotels in neighboring areas such as Quezon Avenue where there are dozens of hotels to choose from.

Travel Tips

  • Plan ahead, think of what kind of accommodation you would want to have prior to your trip then book it in advance.

  • Plot your destination areas and see how close they are from your place of accommodation and plan on how to get to these destinations.

  • Choose a travel time that is not close to rush hours especially when coming from business districts such as Makati, Fort Bonifacio, and Ortigas.
