The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel location was great because it is near to a tourist spot, Tagaytay Picnic Grove. One issue we encountered was presence of insects/worms on the comfort room floors. Another issue is the loud sound of the aircon in our room.

We were upgraded to a family room. It 's just sad that the wifi was not working well knowing that everyone had to work online.

Old building. Big space, feeling have ghosts! Lol. We asked higher floor but given L1, Lower Ground floor, service good, aircon good. No standard parking area, all sloping street, have coupons (can choose ruined project/napa/windmill) for dinner can be claimed at lunch, internet slow sometimes, we booked 2 rooms, then want to stay in one room, and we cannot ask to get the bed from other room. Breakfast food wasn't good on that time.

The property and service was pleasant and impressive. Amazing lobby, vicinty and staff. I was disappointed with the room tho, too small and not convinient for me. Also, they don't issue double key card, which becomes an inconvenience too. Maybe bigger rooms with higher rate are somewhat comftable.

About

Tagaytay is quite possibly one of the most popular weekend destinations for folks living in Metro Manila. Just a one and a half hour’s drive away and you’re greeted by the cool mountain breeze, fresh air, and a small-town charm you can’t find anywhere in the crowded streets of Manila. While Tagaytay has become significantly more urbanized in the past few years, one can’t deny its calming beauty. And despite the burden of traffic jams that comes with heading up south, travelers will keep coming back for a warm bowl of bulalo, and the unbeatable sight of Taal Lake and Volcano.

Why book Tagaytay Villas?

Whether you’re visiting as a couple or traveling with a big group, staying in a Tagaytay villa is almost always the more comfortable option. Unlike the typical hotel rooms, villas would offer more space and in-room amenities. More than just a place to spend the night, a villa is designed to be a traveler’s home base during their stay. That’s why most villas in Tagaytay would feature cozy living areas where guests can hang out, a kitchen, and other thoughtful comforts.

Casa Alegria Facilities

For those staying in Tagaytay, choosing to rent a villa would mean not having to squeeze in with the crowds during peak meal times because preparing your meals or enjoying take-out in your villa’s living area is always an option.

Villa rentals in Tagaytay are also ideal for guests who are looking to stay in the city for more than just a weekend as having more private spaces beyond just a bedroom makes it feel more like home.

Types of Villas:

Accommodations would offer all kinds of villas depending on a traveler’s needs or budget. If you’re still unsure what to pick, here are some of the villa types offered in Tagaytay:

Casa Alegria Room

  • Family Villa - If you’re traveling with young children or a big group of friends, a family villa is always a good choice. On top of the large living and common areas, this will come with multiple rooms and sleeping areas to fit everyone comfortably. Booking a family villa in Tagaytay is also, more often than not, a cheaper alternative to booking multiple rooms in a hotel.
  • Hillside Villa- Tagaytay is all about the view, and while you can enjoy it in multiple spots around the city, there’s nothing quite like being able to wake up next to it. That’s why hillside villas are especially popular for those staying in Tagaytay. These types of villas for rent usually feature private balconies with unobstructed views of the lake or the Taal Volcano.

  • Tagaytay Attraction & Activities:

Travelers would often visit Tagaytay for a dose of cool air and without a set plan in mind. If you’re one of them and you find yourself heading up, without knowing what to do, here are some activities you can enjoy during your trip:

    People’s Park in the Sky

  • Have a feast for breakfast - If you’re heading up Tagaytay, the best time to leave is early morning, not only so that you don’t waste the day, but also so that you can start it right. There are a few places that come to mind when you think of breakfast in Tagaytay, one of them being the iconic Breakfast At Antonio’s. You can’t go wrong with their menu but the bestsellers will always be their sandwiches or their omelettes. If you’re a first-timer, make sure to try the Reuben and the Feta Cheese and Sauteed Spinach Omelette.
  • Get your adrenaline pumping at Sky Ranch - This little theme park is, while small in size, packs a decent number of rides and even carnival booths for both the young and the young at heart.
  • Get cultured at Museo Orlina - Owned by the renowned sculptor himself, the Museo Orlina is an art gallery, exhibition space, and music center all-in-one. If you’re lucky, you might catch a music festival during your visit, but with or without an event, the museum is a great starting point to appreciate local art.

  • How to get around:

Without traffic, travelers coming from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport will only need to take one hour and 30-minute drive to get to Tagaytay City. The most convenient way to head there would be via a private car, but you can also catch a bus from the Gil Puyat Station or Coastal Mall.

Getting around Tagaytay is always easier if you have your car as roads go uphill and downhill, making it quite difficult to navigate by foot. Those without a car, however, can easily catch a trike to reach their destinations.
