Rebak Island is a small island off the main island of Langkawi Island, Kedah. Rebak Island is entirely owned by the Taj Group Hotels, managing the brand Vivanta by Taj formerly known as Rebak Island Resort. This island is the perfect quiet, romantic spot dedicated for couples and honeymooners. It is also caters for the people looking for total relaxation, freeing themselves for a while from the distractions of working in the city or dealing with the crowds as there will be none of such things here.

Rebak Island got its name from the native Rebak tree. Rebak Island provides magnificent view of Straits of Malacca portraying the Andaman Sea. It has a nice homely beach where guests can wade and swim in the water without worrying about drowning. At high tide, kayaking is very safe. Other water sports activities are also can be arranged such as parasailing and jet-skiing. Rebak Island also boasts itself with the awesome bird watching and nature trails. There are several interesting nature trails around the island with estimated time taking about 20 minutes to walk per trip. This allows the guests spending time keeping an eye watching many species of kingfishers and woodpeckers, black naped oriole and various kinds of oriental pied hornbills.

Sunsets and sunrises viewpoints are just natural anywhere on the Rebak Island. The only mode of transport throughout the island is the environmentally-friendly buggies and there is currently one main restaurant called the Senari Restaurant to cater meals from breakfast till supper respectively. Other entertaining spots would be the common swimming pool and drinking bars. The Minum Minum Bar is located at the main lobby area while the Lepak Bar is located at the beach side area. By Plane

Langkawi Island Airport is located at Padang Mat Sirat. There are flights to Langkawi provided by Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia. From the airport, guests may hail up a taxi to reach Langkasuka Port and continues the journey to Rebak Island by taking a boat or ferry services.

By Boat/Ferry

Boat or ferry services to Rebak Island are available at the Langksuka Port which is located at the Chenang Beach. The journey to Rebak Marina Jetty takes approximately 20 minutes.

This open air museum is a popular eco-tourism location at Chenang Beach where visitors get to learn about rice cultivation. There is an 8 acre working rice farm that allow visitors to roam around the paddy fields and play along the scarecrows while watching the rice farmers working.
