In general, it was a good experience staying at Kala Hotel. We got nice room with big windows and a good room layout (looks like each room in the same floor, will have different layout, so you might get a room without view). There was an unkind odor from bathroom, I'm not sure maybe there is an issue in their plumbing system, because I read other review telling about this as well. Oya, another thing, I'm not sure, whether the mattress is really thin, or maybe the bed frame is a little odd, like, it stands in the middle, which makes the mattress felt thin. Aside from above issue, we enjoyed the hotel location, very strategic. The view is marvelous, and you can have morning walking or cycling roaming Semarang high-class-green area. Not to mention, they have nice restaurant at the rooftop.

Given a room in the 3rd floor, turned out above my room is their rooftop cafe. So it's kind of noisy with the sound of table/chairs being moved around. No window, which means zero sunlight. The room itself was okay, I just prefer a room with window and sunlight.

Modern interiors. I really enjoy the atmosphere of a comfortable, clean and quiet bedroom. Everything works. Only 1 thing that might need to be fixed is a very hard mattress😂 but this hotel is recommended🫶🏻.

1. Standard hotel services. Mas who is on duty in the morning at the restaurant is very friendly. 2. The choice of the breakfast menu when I stayed did not match the list in the room. 3. If someone goes in and out of the room and closes the door, it sounds very loud from inside. 4. Room facilities & amenities are in accordance with those on the website. 5. Wifi is smooth, rooms are clean, per mattress feels really good but in my opinion it's still ok for sleeping, warm water is ok but the drain if it's dry smells:(6. For staycation, I personally think it's still recommended.

Dear Kala management, I use room no 309. My review of Kala, positive aspects: 1. It's still a new hotel so it's still clean and well maintained. 2. Elegant room design with the right color combination (I really like the room design) 3. The receptionists and other employees are all friendly. 4. On the 5th floor there is a cafe, the name of the cafe is Kala Senja. The food is delicious and worth it at a price that is not expensive. 5. The place for breakfast is convenient because it is in the cafe (5th floor) and there is an outdoor section. Negative side; 1. If the room is left for a long time, there is a smell of sewer in the drainage section under the shower and toilet, maybe it's better in the bathroom using bathroom deodorizer or toilet camphor. 2. The mattress near the tv is a bit sinking; Maybe it's because the left side near the bathroom has a pillar so if you want to get up you can't go through the left side so you step on the mattress at the end. 3. Pesannya superior. Kamarnya super sempit😂. Pertama kali kesini kamarnya luas, eh tadi dapetnya ga kebeneran. Cuma emang view nya aja bagus. Sarapannya biasa aja. Nasi adem, ga ada omelette nya. Mau pindah kamar katanya penuh. Yasudahlah.
