This is my second time to stay here. If you will stay at room 104-111, you'll walk up hill from the lobby, about 50 meters above. But it's fun, because up there, you will see a beautiful view of Labuhan Bajo port from above.

Great place, friendly receptionist, very affordable. Despite of long way hiking (there’s only stairs, no lift) but the view is good

Gardena has rooms for online booker such in their top view. Yet they have a back access so you can park your bike or car behind your room. So, make sure you have rent a vehicle before booking room on this hotel, because way up to the room from the front door is quite exhausting furthermore if you have big bag. Room at the top hill making this room has great view of sunset and harbour everyday. Room in good decoration, village sensation. But have a poor air circulation, making it feels like "running out oxygen" inside, especially for me. Maybe hotel owner need to add a exhaust blower or renovating room for best air circulation

It’s the steps... the steps that I counted altogether about 150 up before I reached my room! Some of them are not easy to climb too. They do not provide you soap at your room unless you specifically request for it at the receptionist (they do not let you know this house rule). At one time I had to go down all the 150 plus steps to get my piece of soap! But the view from my top flight room was excellent whether it is day time or night time ... marvelous! Other than that everything else was ordinary. Oh, in front of the hotel you could find many cars and scooters for rental, so it’s easy peasy for this part.

We booked the room for two nights then we extend one more night. The bathroom is clean and the water runs well. The hotel has two entrance, if you have vehicle it will be best to stay uphill.

I was disappointed with Gardena. I booked for a bungalow, understanding that it had modest facilities (no AC, no hot water, no amenities, etc); however when I arrived I noticed there were basic essentials missing like a blanket. The toilet was not good - there was no basin, only one big bucket that I had to fill over and over. The shower hose did not work and there was no toilet flush. Had to use the large bucket for everything. We also had to climb at least 5 stories up to get to our bungalow from the reception. The staff were friendly, but spoke very little English. The breakfast was simple but fine. The was good, which was the only saving point of the stay. Overall I would not recommend this bungalow to others.

The room is clean, as in the picture, unfortunately the receptionist is below, so I have to go up and down the stairs which is quite tiring. Because the car park is in the backyard of the hotel. There is no security guard. Therefore, please be careful yourself. So far so good. Nice to stay at Gardena. Moreover, the top room, the view is good.

The location of the hotel is very close to the harbor and the view from the hotel terrace is very cool for me the service is okay, the waiters and sisters would like to bring our bags when going up to the room (the rooms far have to go up to the hill) simple but delicious breakfast because the meal was served ..
