All Nippon Airways is a national airline from Japan that was established in 1952. Today, All Nippon Airways operates flights to 165 destinations, consisting of 111 domestic and 52 international destinations. This Japanese airline has been awarded with the Five Stars World Airline Rating for five consecutive years. All Nippon Airways is a part of Star Alliance. The airline offers four types of flight classes: Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, Business Class, and First Class.
All Nippon Airways’ Economy Class service is available on all its Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Every seat in the Economy Class is equipped with a 9-inch advanced touch-panel LCD, a spacious 86 cm legroom, a universal PC power source, USB ports and a footrest to keep the passengers well rested during the flight. One of the excellent features that passengers will get from the Economy Class service is the in-flight entertainment. All Nippon Airways has equipped all of its aircraft with Full Digital AVOD, which offers a great selection of movies, music, e-books, games and Sky Live TV.
Since March 2016, the Premium Economy and Economy Class services have been renewed to create an even more enjoyable journey for passengers. The in-flight meal service is included in this renewal. All Nippon Airways offers greater variety of menu to passengers in the Economy and Premium Economy classes. Passengers can enjoy such delicacies as sparkling wine, soup, mini soba, ramen and udon noodles. These menus are offered according to the flight route.
As an upgraded version of the Economy Class, All Nippon Airways’ Premium Economy Class provides more spacious seats with a distance of approximately 49 cm between seats. Each seat is equipped with a USB port and a universal PC power socket. During the flight, passengers can enjoy a range of in-flight entertainment using a noise-cancelling headphone. The in-flight entertainment system includes movies, TV shows, games and e-books, among others.
On any flights departing from Japan, the airline’s Premium Economy Class serves a lineup of the most popular menus as chosen by the airline’s customers in the In-Flight Meal General Election 2016. All Nippon Airways also works together with seasoning maker and restaurant KAYANOYA to serve passengers with soups made from Japan-sourced vegetables. Premium Economy Class passengers can also enjoy more exclusive selections, such as sparkling wine, champagne, sake, ramen and udon.
The Business Class seats can be reclined to a 180-degree fully flat position. Located on the aisle side, passengers do not have to worry about disturbing or being disturbed by other passengers. Each side is equipped with a big table, a special shoe rack, a personal compartment, a universal PC power socket, a USB port, a 17-inch touch screen monitor, and a “Do Not Disturb” lamp that the passengers can turn on whenever they want to rest without disruptions. Each Business Class passenger will get an amenity kit consisting of a toothbrush set, a mouthwash, a face and body sheet, an eye mask, earplugs, a face and hand cream, and a comb. All Nippon Airways also provides knitwear and foot roller from Neal’s Yard, a British seller of organic health and beauty products.
There are three types of menu in All Nippon Airways Business Class: Japanese cuisine, international cuisine and local Japanese specialties. Each menu is created by professional chefs from famous restaurants, such as Joachim Splichal from Patina and Pierre Herme from Paris. All Nippon Airways has also teamed up with Ned Goodwin and Katshuhito to offer the best wine selection, and with Kazuhiko Ota to serve the best Japanese sake. Additionally, it offers a great selection of champagne, such as Champagne Canard Duchêne Cuvêe Leonie Brut, Château Blaignan from France, and Matahiwi Estate Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.
Each First Class seat is designed as a square compartment with high-panel walls to provide the ultimate privacy and comfort. First Class passengers get to enjoy a wide variety of entertainment through a 23-inch touch screen LCD using a digital noise-canceling headphone in their own space, which is equipped with two personal LED lamps, an adjustable table, a cocktail table, a premium headset, a personal satellite international phone, a compartment for shoes and clothes, an additional compartment under the seat, a universal PC power socket and a USB port. Passengers are also provided with The Ginza cosmetics, which consists of an energizing lotion, a moisturizing emulsion, a creamy cleansing foam, four facial cotton pads, a toothbrush set, an eye mask, and earplugs.
The in-flight meal service in First Class is similar with that in Business Class, which consists of international and Japanese cuisines. However, All Nippon Airways has teamed up with another expert in serving drinks to First Class passengers. The airline has appointed Andrea Illy, one of the best coffee specialists in the world, to pick the best coffee to serve during onboard. Besides coffee, passengers can also enjoy green tea, which is served in porcelain cups, just like in Japan.
As a reward for all its loyal passengers, All Nippon Airways offers a frequent flyer program called ANA Mileage Club. This program allows passengers to earn points from flying with All Nippon Airways and from purchasing products from the airline’s partners. When the points have been accumulated to reach a certain level, passengers can redeem them for free flight tickets and other beneficial awards. Before starting to collect points, passengers are required to register as a member through www.ana.co.jp, and then choose the option ANA Mileage Club registration.
All Nippon Airways provides an airport lounge service to all passengers flying in Premium Economy, Business and First Classes, and to the registered members of ANA Mileage Club, ANA Super Flyer’s card and Star Alliance Gold. This facility comes in several types, such as ANA Suite Lounge, ANA Lounge and ANA Arrival Lounge. All airport lounges are equipped with televisions, newspapers, magazines, flight monitors, a WiFi connection, a smoking area, a great selection of food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a spa service, private rooms, printers and copiers.
